Burton Room-to-Grow is a collection of snowboarding products that are specifically built to expand as kids get bigger, allowing them to use the same gear longer. Key Components of the Room-to-Grow System
- Extendable sleeves: Kids’ jackets that feature Room-to-Grow have sleeves that can be extended 1.5 inches (4cm).
- Extendable pant legs: Kids’ snow pants that feature Room-to-Grow have legs that can be extended 1.5 inches (4cm).
- Interchangeable footbeds: Kids’ snowboard boots that feature Room-to-Grow have a removable footbed and a secondary integrated footbed to expand boots one full size.
Burton Room-to-Grow Kids’ Jackets
When your grom has a growth spurt, you can easily extend the cuffs of a Room-to-Grow jacket by 1.5 inches (4cm). Simply locate the red stitching on the inside of the cuffs and remove it. Note that this red stitching is located a few inches (8cm) up the sleeve from the cuff, on the inside of the jacket.

When you wake up tomorrow and your kiddo is a foot (30cm) taller than the day before, it is likely that their snow pants legs are now too short. To extend the length of the snow pant legs, simply locate the red stitching on the inside of the cuffs and remove it. Note that this red stitching is located a few inches (8cm) up the pant leg from the cuff, on the inside of the pants.

Burton Room-to-Grow Kids’ Snowboard Boots
Perhaps the coolest kids’ product available, every pair of Burton Room-to-Grow kids’ snowboard boots can be worn through two full sizes, providing plenty of use before an upgrade is needed. To adjust the size of the snowboard boots to fit your child’s growing foot, simply remove the footbed and use the boot with the integrated secondary footbed that is a size larger (and provides the same cushioning and support).
